WTF is It?

Mysterious things show up in our flower beds all the time. Either by errant birds, idiot neighbor kid's rock, or fucking osmosis. But when we spotted this gem, we scratched our heads and balls and asked "What the fuck is it?" Any ideas? Comments welcomed. No that's not duct tape at the base; that's how it grew! Reminds me of something ornamental, like winter gourds. But it's June, for 'eff sake.

Here it is in it's natural erection...um, I mean stalk.

Navy Pier, Chicago

Received a nifty new postcard in the mail. Love it! I've been to Chicago years ago, but don't remember visiting the Navy Pier. Looks like fun, in a naval, seaman kind of way!

New BBQ

Here's the new BBQ (the one on the right). The Sanford and Son old one on the left is the reason I got a new one. It's waiting to be recycled at the moment.
But the new one? It's a Kenmore: 30,000 BTUs with an additional 10,000 on a sideburner (which I've used!). It has 596 sq. inch cooking surface or a 24-burger area. (Not sure if you've been BBQ shopping lately, but they all advertise their cooking surface in "burger area" - really!)

It's just so Face of Baby Jesus new!

The old one is rife with Legionnaires disease, but she was good to me.

Tony Awards 2010

Yes, I was the only one who watched. And this was the only funny moment of the show. Nathan and Bebe, not nominated for their rolls in "Addams Family", giving out the award for Best Actor/Actress in a Musical. Hilarity ensued.
