Angie Merkel orchid

German Chancellor Angela Merkel takes in the sights and scents at the National Orchid Garden in Singapore. During her recent visit, the chancellor was honored by having an orchid plant named after her (Dendrobium Angela Merkel). Orchids are the national flower of Singapore, and the garden also has orchids named after Nelson Mandela, the Queen of England and Lady Di.

Go Krauts!
