I’ve been perusing the list of Emmy nominations for this year. What intrigues me is all the nifty little shows that I adore and wouldn’t miss. I love seeing them being recognized even a little.
But the first show, “Downton Abbey,” was certainly awash in award noms this year. Yeah, it’s THAT brilliant. I even bought a copy on BluRay. The expectations for the next series is high, but I’m sure they can do it.

Tony Bourdain? What can I say? I wouldn’t miss his show for anything. It’s more than a foodie show, more than a travel show. The way exploring the world should be. I’m impressed to see he was nominated for his own writing of the show. He’s up against some terrific PBS writing, so in this instance it’s an honor even being nominated.

Yea, I’ll always cheer for Chris, but against all those “Modern Family” guys? I’d be hard pressed to choose. Hmm, maybe the “MF” guys will cancel each other out and I’ll be changing on Emmy Night, “KURT, KURT, KURT”

I had to mention this for The Mister. The show was actually rather enjoyable. Not was good as “Battlestar Galactica”, but it certainly had ambitions WAY beyond any SyFy schlock show. It was quite good and as evidenced by this nom, it was visually stunning.
Outstanding Special Visual Effects For A Series

I'm intrigued by Downton Abbey. I need to watch my first season blu-ray of Mad Men. I also reserved the first season of Breaking Bad the libary and will pick that up this week. 7 episodes in the first season. I watched one episode randomly and LOVED it!
